Some websites offer information and others offer systems and machines to help in the fight against global warming. Since there are so many websites out there, it is difficult to know which sites are worth your time and which are not. So, without further ado, this article will present three different sites all dealing with alternative energy. They are all worth a careful look, as will be explained below.
Website one: energyalternative.ca - This is a company based in Canada with more than enough resources to occupy anyone's time. I especially like the step by step process that is outlined. The company realizes that most of its customers are new, so there is more than one walk through or tutorial for understanding everything. The website realizes that without proper planning, there will be no success. Thus, there are system design tools, spreadsheets that can be downloaded and calculators to determine exactly how much energy you will need.
The website is broken down into categories; wind, solar, hydroelectric and others. There is also a bookstore where the buyer can find exactly what he wants as far as educational tools go. If the person has questions at all, the staff's contact information can be found on the website as well. A very handy and resourceful stop for those looking for alternative energy solutions.
Website two is altenergystore.com - This is also a store/library as the other one was. However, the interface and use of this one are easier and more enjoyable. This site has only three sections: store, learn and community. Store is what people expect it to be: a list of products, a phone number, and the prices. Learn is the library portion of the site, where one can buy or download for free all manner of information. Community is perhaps the best section. It is the forum where people ask advice from other users and are answered quickly. This site is just as good as the other one, but easier on the eyes.
Website three is earth4energy.com - This site is different in that it does not have information and resources-at least not free ones. This website explains how to build a solar power grid and wind mill that can be used to generate electricity. It allows users to download an ebook that will teach them how to install their own solar power system. It does say that to build the system you will need to spend about two hundred dollars. This information is upfront; the project can be completed in about three days. The site is mainly for users that do not want to spend time and energy examining other sources of information, but merely want to begin immediately installing their own alternative energy systems.
