Wildlife and Bio-Diversity at Its Finest in the Amazon

By Lance Winslow

It has recently been reported that at least one new species has been found in the Amazon Rain Forest every three-days on average for the past decade straight. In fact, bio-diversity scientists believe this trend will continue and that as the equipment gets better and the teams of bio-diversity researchers increase, more will be found faster than ever before.

As a matter of fact there was a very decent article on this topic recently in Time Magazine News Feed Online titled; "Behold: 1200 New Species Discovered in the Amazon," by Claire McCormack. For those who doubt the diversity of this planet, or claim that we are losing species and may soon run out, this one article and topical subject you shouldn't miss.

It might also be noted that hotter ambient temperatures on our globe is not necessarily bad for bio-diversity. It's the ice ages after all that life on the surface of the planet really needs to be worried about. Often, the Global Warming scientists who claim doom and gloom, need to be tempered by better science fact, and a reality check on the proof of actual observation in the real world. For those bio-diversity scientists and researchers that get out more, their observations and results are mixed.

While there is a severe strain on the fish populations and oceans off the coasts of human civilizations due to man-made pollution run-off and oxygen depleted dead zones, this is not the case everywhere. What is that famous line in Jurassic Park; "Life Will Find a Way!"

While no species adapts better to their environment than humankind - mostly because we are so good at changing our local environment, other species adapt and overcome, and evolve to deal with whatever is there. They are survivors, because they have to be. Perhaps, this is something that we should all be willing to take a good hard look at? Please think on it.
