ZEITGEIST: Meditation - Can it Help Stop Global Warming?

By Alan Greenhalgh

Amazing as it seems, peace is now recognised by a growing body (including some of the worlds greatest minds) to be an actual science. As long ago as June and July 1993, experiments with mass meditation during a trial in Washington DC showed a significant decrease in homicides, rapes and assaults.

Participants in the trial did nothing more than meditate in a state of peace, resulting in a 23% reduction in crime during the final week of the trial. The statistical probability that this result could reflect chance variation in crime levels was less than 2 in 1 billion.

The trial was conducted before a panel of eminently qualified experts. Several additional studies were performed with similar results and data from earlier trials during 1988-1992 was carefully analysed. Analysis of the data discounted the likelihood of such remarkable declines in offending being attributed to changes in policing methods, staffing, weather, temperature, seasonal cycles or general trends in crime.

In 2006, such eminent figures as Professor Ervin Laszio, Dr. Pim Van Lommel, Dr. Roger Ziegler, Prof. Hendrik Tschud, Dr. Michael Laitman and Prof. Ashok Gangadean met in Dusseldorf to examine the causality of the worlds current problems such as, terrorism, war and global warming and to discuss the concept of integrated consciousness through meditation as a solution.

Concluding also that we are all inter-connected through our consciousness, the scientists agreed that each of us radiate actual energy and transmit this through our thoughts. However, their most startling conclusion, and the one that has the greatest implications for all mankind, is the discovery that through the power of "the squared affect", the energy of human thought is magnified exponentially when the same minds meditate in mass and in harmony!

The Dusseldorf conference also discovered that their conclusions were not in fact new. Ancient civilisations had known about integrated consciousness, the power of meditation and the connection between all living things. The Ancients had even foretold of the worlds current predicament through our disconnecting with each other.

Scientists behind the project assert that each person on the planet is connected with his fellow and with all other creatures on the planet. The conference concluded, "If we want to fulfill ourselves, we must do it through fulfilling others," and "the only hope for humanity is for the unification of the whole world through our love for one and other."

These enlightened and wonderful human beings are convinced that the very survival of mankind is dependent upon humanity awakening to the power of integrated consciousness and love.

Coincidentally, these scientists made the same assertions that were recorded in the book "Climate Change; Your Liferaft to Prosperity and Survival" which discusses the possibility that we are all individual cells that together comprise one organism known as humanity.

To put it simply, the longer we fail to realise how to use the amazing powers of the human mind, the more de-stabilised the Earth will become.
